ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Our five-week summer enrichment program is the bread and butter of The Summer Institute. Students spend their mornings in an academic setting learning applied Math, Science, Coding, Personal Finance, and Reading and Writing. Our STEM programming uses an Inquiry-Based Learning model that encourages students to develop their curiosity and questions about the world. Our Humanities programming takes advantage of our position in the Museum District with weekly visits to nearby exhibits, whereby students engage critically with both historical and contemporary works.
Holistic programming is central to our program. In the afternoons, students benefit from a thematic Wellness program that aims to inform physical, social, and spiritual development with classes in Physical Education, Life Skills, and Spirituality. Students then end the day with Tutoring Lab, where they spend dedicated time digesting the day's learning material.
Our program provides a student-centered model of learning. We offer small class sizes of 16-18 students. All students have access to iPads to enrich their learning experiences.
